A Good Antique 16th-early 17th Century German Crossbow. 23" iron bow w/original string. Stock- 22" overall, decoratively engraved/carved bone inlays. Stock exhibits wear from years of handling, a few worm holes, scratches and light dings. The bottom of the stock is inlaid with sections of horn. Trigger has been broken off years ago. A great looking crossbow...
Note; finding crossbows this early are very difficult especially retaining the original bow strings. Most strings broke or were eaten by rodents. Very few survivors !
